How to compress outlook.pst in Outlook 2000

My outlook.pst gets ever bigger despite deleting old emails & clearing out
the Deleted & Sent items folders. How do you compress the .pst file.

I notice from the knowledge base under Outlook 2003 that Control Panel |
Mail has a Data Files feature that allows a compress to be selected. That
doesn't appear in my version using MS Office 2000.

Any ideas?

Using the most effective way enables compressing PST files easily. I suggest compressing the Outlook PST file using the OSTtoPSTAPP Compress Outlook PST Tool. With this utility, ANSI and UNICODE PST files can be compressed. PST files can be resized to be smaller with this tool without losing any data. Get the latest trial version of this application to give it a try for free.
