how to copy formulas and have specific cell incrments

I have list of 400 names that I am searching one by one against a text
field in another spreadsheet with 10000 records. I have a formula. I am
looking for a match of that word against the text field and if found
will enter that word in the cell or "false" if not found. The formula
works well to copy down (rows) to the 10000 records but I need to copy
across columns to right and have it increment to the next name from
Names List. Is there a way to copy the formula (below) over to right
columns so that the column letters do not change but the row numbers
increment by 1. (ie. A$2 changes to A$3) The way it works now A$2 will
change to B$2 when copying formula to the next column right.

Names List SS(sheet1)
Column A
3CMC04DLT01
3CMC04DLT02
3CMC04DLT03
3CMC04DLT04
....

Records SS
A2 (text field) USER CANNOT REACH 3CMC04DLT03

B2 (my formula)
=IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH(Sheet1!A$2,A2)),Sheet1!A$2,"False")
