How to create a link in an entourage email message

D

David Elliott

Hello knowledgeable entourage users,
I have been wanting to learn how to create links in an email using
entourage. I find if I type in a web address and I am in HTML sometimes it
goes through the email to the receiver as an active link, sometimes it does
not. I need to know how to do this? Is there a procedure to follow? Thank
you. Please reply. David

When you compose a message the links do not appear active, but they are.
Just save the message as a draft and you will then see the active links.

Enclose the URL with < and > viz: <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/> so that
if the URL wraps over more than one line, it will still work when it gets
there. Don't forget to format with the http:// prefix.

If you are sending HTML messages and your recipient is in Outlook or Outlook
Express WINDOWS, they don't get Entourage's type of clickable links. If
that's the case, get

Make Hyperlinks

<http://scriptbuilders.net/>

That doesn't apply as long as you are using Office X 10.1.4 or later. Make
sure your copy of Entourage is up-to-date.
