MissMarlaG

thanks to all who helped me get my auto-run cd out ...
eek, just got pointed out to me that if they are saavy
enough, they can pull the .pps file up in powerpoint and
then edit (aka pirate my hard work).

when i save the .pps as a read-only file, it can still be
edited (save as, other file name).

how can i create a straight up, doubleclick it, non-
editable .pps?

Marla, what version of PowerPoint are you using? If you are using
PowerPoint 2002, you can apply a modify password. Since I know that you are
using ACDPC-Pro, and in the next 24-48 hours we will be releasing a new
version of Pro that uses the new PowerPoint 2003 Viewer, that might be your
solution. The new Viewer will open the password protected presentation, but
of course the Viewer has no editing capability. If someone tries to open
the presentation in PowerPoint, they can't modify it unless they have the
password. You, of course, will not have provided it.

Let me know your version of PowerPoint.
