How to delete old names for auto-complete

J

Jeffrey

Howdy--

I have a ton of names that come up when I start typing in an address in the
email address field of any new email composition window.

Is there some way to pare down this list, so as not be cluttered with all
these old names I never use anymore?

In fact, perhaps the list is editable with some text editor, such as
BBEdit...?

Thanks again :)

Jeffrey

Entourage's Address AutoComplete feature gathers addresses from both the
address book and the recently-used list (with a maximum of 200 entries).
They are sorted intelligently, organized by the frequency of messaging for
each contact, with the most-used contacts showing up on top.

There will always be 200. Some will always be considered "useless" by the
user. The better organized you are at adding "good" addresses to you address
book the more you will enjoy the MRU feature.

Since you didn't mention which version of Entourage you are using, check
here for direction on clearing the entries.
