How to disable all features in Office 2003 PERMANENTLY?

I have a client that wants all the automatic features disabled permanently in
Office 2003. Currently ALL check boxes are unchecked but some sections still
automatically reformat to match preceding lines, auto indent and
autonumbering still occur and full justified lines will left justify if it is
formatted with a item number, period tab and text. Remember all items are
unchecked, the ruler is not used to auto indent, etc..
If anyone has a method, it would be appreciated. I had to disable those
features in Office 2000 in the registry before I got it to wortk properly for
the client.

Switching off all automatic features makes no sense at all - use Notepad if
that's what the client really wants. If not, can you be a bit more specific?
Unchecking "everything" (in all dialogs?) will certainly affect the way Word
behaves but whether it will be what your client wants, I don't know.

What do you mean when you say sections reformat to match preceding lines.
Reformat when? What format did they have before? Unchecking "Automatic
numbered lists" ought to stop them occurring - off the top of my head I
don't know why that wouldn't happen. How are you getting 'full justified'
lines?

Whilst some registry tweaking can have an effect, trying to switch most Word
options via the registry is asking for trouble. Without wishing to be rude,
if you are that knowledgeable about them I would have thought you would know
how to handle the things you are asking about here.

Hi Tony,

if one wants still less features,
then "edit" would be an option.

And if that is too complicated also,

I just checked it, "debug" is still around. ;-)

Hi =?Utf-8?B?SGFsMjAwMA==?=,

The better place to ask this might be the Office.setup newsgroup, and you may
need the Office Resource Kit, as well, in order to define POLICIES that make
these changes in the Registry.
