How to disable an Exchange account?

I sometimes do freelance work for a company whose mail system is on an
Exchange server. They set me up with a (new) account each time and
then when the project ends they disable it. However, my Entourage
client continues to poll the server to which I no longer have access.
Is there an option in Entourage to disable an Exchange e-mail account?
I am looking for a setting similar to the one in POP accounts for
adding and removing the account from the send/receive schedule. Anyone
know of any such option? I am using the current version of Entourage
with the current OS.

The only option I see is to delete the account... Exchange is on its own
automatic schedule for retreiving e-mails.

Don¹t store the EXCH account password in the keychain (option when setting
up EXCH accounts)
Then when the pass box comes up, hit cancel.

You could create another identity in Entourage and then just tell
Entourage to ask which identity each time you open it.
