how to do conditional formating for a row

Hi

I am using Excel 2003 in Window XP

What I want to do is: when a cell is 'Y', automatically highlight the whole row. for example

ROW COUNTRY SHIPPING DAT

1 USA Y 04/01/0
2 CHINA N 03/15/0
3 JAPAN Y 02/01/0

I need to auto-highlight row 1 and row 3

thank you

Select the row headers to select Rows 1:3, with cell A1 active.

Use this CF:

=$B1="Y"

and select your cell pattern.

The mixed absolute and relative mode will keep the column checked
constant, but allow XL to update the rows appropriately.
