How to exclude folders from synchronising

Hi,

I am using Entourage 2004 and Kerio Mail Server (an Exchange
replacement).

I have my e-mail organized in folders per year. They are subfolders
under Inbox, called 2002, 2003, etc. How do I prevent Entourage from
syncing these folders every time? This is not necessary, as their
contents do not change.

I tried these two things:
- I assigned both subfolders a catergory called "Archive", and then set
Entourage to "sync all items except those in category Archive" under
Account settings. This did not work.
- I tried to set up a new schedule and wanted to push the button "Click
here for account options", as I read in a Microsoft document that this
should be a place where one can exclude en include folders. However,
the button is "un-clickable", it does not respond.

Does any of you know a solution to this problem? Do the folders need to
be set up as main folders rather than subfolders in Inbox for any of
the above to work?

Thanks,

Yorch

A workaround would be to create a new Identity named Archive. Move your
folders for 2002, 2003 etc to the new Identity. You can easily switch
Identities if you need to search for older mail.

To move mail to new Identity, just drag folder to the desktop. This creates
an MBOX file. Switch to the new Identity and drag the folder to the folder
window.
