How to export OS 9 Entourage to OS X Mail or Thunderbird

I'm not sure how to export my Mac OS 9 Entourage (or Outlook Express
5.0) messages to a G5 with OS X running (Mac) Mail or Thunderbird.

Thunderbird only seems to want to import from an exisiting Messenger
software on the G5 computer.

I transferred the Microsoft Data / Identities folder to the new Mac.
What should I do next?
