Hi Mark,
If you save a copy of the document in HTML, you can tell Word what
resolution to save the graphics at, via File|Save As Web Page|Tools|Web
Options|Pictures.
Another method is to copy the pictures individually from the Word document
and paste them to the desktop. When you do that, you'll be prompted for a
filename etc.
Yet another method is to copy the pictures individually from the Word
document and paste them into a graphics program (eg Paint) before saving.
In each case, what would also help is to enlarge all pictures to full size
before processing.
