How to get rid of Rich Text and HTML texts

It's a pain to get so many emails these days using either rich text or HTML.
And great great majority of them never use any of the additional features
offered. They might as well just use plain text. And the downside is that
the typical email item is at least doubled in size (bad for archive).

Is there a script or something that can quickly turn those back to plain
text? Presently I have to manually edit and save those items to get rid of
the extra formatting.

I think this can be done by stopping display of comples HTML coding

If its Ent 2004 then uncheck (Display complex HTML) in the security
preference

If its Ent X then uncheck (Display complex HTML) in Read tab of Mail & News
Preference

I think this just displays as plain text but preserve the actual Rich Text
and HTML data in Entourage.
