How to have a field use a previous field used in the same form.

I have a form called F_CEC% linked to a table called T_CEC%, Within the form
there are fife columns 1=Charges to, 2= 2004-05%, 3= 2005-06%, 4= 2006-07% &
5= 2007-08%. What I would like to happen is filed 5 to default and update the
table from field 4 or until overtyped.

Is there any way of achieving this?
