How to install Mathematics Equation without Office CD

Is there another way to install the mathematics equation without using my
Office cd? Tried looking for it but I simply cannot find it..

Given that the equation editor is on the CD, it is difficult to see how. Can
you borrow an Office CD?

No there's not a way to do that, but you can download the trial
version of MathType, the full-featured version of Equation
Editor. All of MathType's features will be available for 30 days,
then it becomes "MathType Lite". MathType Lite has all of
Equation Editor's features plus a few more.

If that's the route you choose, you can download it from the link
in my signature.

To add to Mr Mathews: if you've a lot of equations then Word is
not the best program. You're better off with LaTeX. That's
not the latex used in that shiny black latex catsuit hanging in
your cupboard or the latex I see whenever I hear Leontyne Price
sing the habenera from Carmen[1]. (To tell the truth, when I
hear the habenera, I more imagine a bare-foot, black-eyed siren
in a tight fitting red flamenco dress, but the effect's the same.)

LaTeX is optimized for the typesetting of maths - it's output
can only be matched by the most proficient of Word users.
If you've a phat internet connection, you can download a minimum
LaTeX distribution (~24MB) from: http://www.miktex.org

[1] It's hard to tell your sex from one sentence, but I have
an intimate knowledge of Star Wars, and since I know that
Princess Leia was a girl, probably you're also a girl.
My understanding of women is far less extensive. Indeed in
all my research, I've been able to formulate one rule:
women, as a group, rarely snicker at even the most witty
dialogue that contains a reference to melted candy bars
in your pocket. So I'm ready to concede that when you hear
the habenera you may not dream of a raven-haired gypsy.
