How to keep Entourage from local caching messages?

I'm trying to get Entourage to not display already downloaded IMAP messages
without a password. More specifically our receptionist connects to our IMAP
email server all day long to read and send messages. After she goes home,
she logs out of Entourage and the after hours gal launches it, but with a
different personality on it. However since Entourage caches all the already
read messages anyone can still select the receptionist's profile and be able
to read all of these messages.

I've gone through the options but cannot find anything that would prevent
Entourage from caching the messages.

Yes it would be better if each gal would log in as a wholly different OS X
user, but for reasons of some software that runs in the background that is
not an option.

Thanks,
Peter

There's no way to do this in Entourage. You can manually Empty Cache, but
each receptionist would need to do this manually before leaving.

I've heard of others who have had success placing the Identity folder inside
a disk image that is password protected. You could do this for each
receptionist.

You do that by control-clicking (right-clicking) on the IMAP server icon in
the Folder pane and selecting "Empty Cache". As Dave says, each
receptionists would have to remember to do that.

That sounds like a good idea.
