Which PowerPoint version do you use? Objects can be moved with animations
(there are some more in the modern versions 2002 and 2003). This is
independent of, whether you use the of the full version of PowerPoint or the
free PowerPoint 2003 viewer and thus independent of ppt or pps.

Kind regards,

Ho G0tc,

A couple of things, just to be clear. PPS does not equal viewer or
show-only. Both PPT and PPS files play as shows in the viewer. PPS files
will auto-open as a show with the full version, but can be opened in edit
view from within PowerPoint.

A PPS file and a PPT file are identical in structure, so just changing the
last letter of the extension (via explorer) will change the way the file is
opened. PPS files are associated with the Show command in PowerPoint, while
PPT files are associated with the edit command. Therefore, having different
animations for the different save types does not make a whole lot of since
(unless there is something I do not understand).

Probably the best way to do this, is to make the PPT file and save, then
change the position of the object and save again as a PPS. When closing the
presentation, be sure NOT to resave the PPT with the PPS changes.
