How to open e-mail attachment

Dear members:


I received an e-mail message with an attachment of the type winmail.dat in
it.

I have already tried to open it but haven't been successful.

How can I open this attachment and read its contents ?

I am running Mac OS X 10.4.9 (the latest version of this OS) and Entourage
version 11.3.3 in case the information is relevant.
