How to pass a parameter when doing mailmerge

I perform a mailmerge in VB using "wordobject.MailMerge.Execute" and want the
Word document to print varying headings depending on the value of a parameter.

I do NOT want the value of the parameter to be passed to the Word document
as a value in a record. Rather I want it to be passed at the "merge level".
In other words it applies to ALL records in that particular merge.

So, can it be done and how would Word 'pick it up'.
