how to pull names from a file and put them into a worksheet

First what I need to do is make a program of some kind that will allow you to
enter a name with a couple of catergory number, and then store them into a
file that can later be used to place them into a worksheet in certain order
(alphabetical). The problem is that the names are on every fourth line or so
with more data in betwen them. I am looking to have the worksheet
automaticaly pull the names in alphabetical order along with there categgory
numbers (2 sets of numbers) and place them in the designated areas on the
worksheet. If someone could point me in the right direction I would greatly
appreciate it..
