Re: MS graph - V 2003

If I right click in the chart area and click "clear," I can click "undo"
ONCE to restore the chart easily. However, if I format the chart area (e.g.
apply a different color) after clicking "clear," I cannot press "undo" TWICE
to restore the chart. I know the data is still there in the datasheet even
though the font has turned greyish from black. At this point, is there a way
to restore the chart?

Appreciate advice.

Hi Eppin

Try selecting the greyed out data and then Data > include row/column

Thanks, John. Great, it did the job although it wasn't as perfect as "undo"
because I had to redo the legend, wall colour, grid line etc.

It took me a while to sort out the row/column confusion. Now, I realize
that I must know the chart pattern (series in column or row) before I clear.
If it is series in column, only choosing "include column" will work. It
won't work if I choose "include row."

Appreciate your help. Will rate answer helpful after you have read this.
