How to see read receipts I am sending *outbound* in Outbox or ?

I'd like to see my outbound read receipts -- that is,
those that are created once I view an email where the
sender has asked for a read receipt, and then hit OK when
asked at the prompt if I would like to send a read
receipt.

I have always wanted this feature...but now I am having
an odd problem sending/receiving on one of my POP3/SMTP
accounts -- send/receive just hangs until the 90 second
timeout expires.

A bunch of factors make me suspect a stray read receipt...
- there is no (regular) outgoing email from this account
- "test settings" yields all green checkmarks, although I
can't receive anything on this account so who knows for
sure, but at least it can find and log in to the
mailservers
- none of my colleagues using the same mailservers (and
configured exactly the same) are having any issues.

Any advice on how to see those outgoing receipts (and now
that I think about it, even those "test settings"
outbound emails)? TIA!!!
