How to separate accounts

B

Bill Friley

Hi,

I have two work email addresses. I want emails coming in from each address
to automatically move to separate folders. Then I want to be able to reply
to a specific email and have the correct corresponding email address
respond.....for instance if I get an email addressed to [email protected],
when I reply I want the recipient to see that the reply came from
[email protected]. Right now all my emails from both addresses fall in the
same inbox and when I reply, no matter what email address it was sent to the
recipient always receives the reply with my main address.

Ex.

I have 2 email addresses

[email protected]
[email protected]

If I get an email addressed to [email protected], when I reply the recipient
receives the reply from [email protected]. I want to fix this so it reads
[email protected]

Any help woould be greatly apprecieated

Hi Bill,

first of all, go to Entourage>Preferences, select Reply & Forward and
disable the option which reads "Reply using the default account". This
should take care of one of the two problems you've mentioned. As for the
separate e-mail accounts: create two subfolders in your inbox
(ctrl-/right-click your inbox and select "New Subfolder" from the contextual
menu). After doing that, go to Tools>Rules and create two new rules, one for
each account. They should read as follows:

if "account" is "name of the account"
move to "name of corresponding subfolder"

If you need some help with that, post back!
