Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: pop

just got my FIRST MAC Book Pro, long time PC user, dilemma - need to use Outlook 2003 (or '07), POP account not exchange, need to communicate with other Outlook pop and exchange users. Need to be able to send calendar invites and have them 'accept' them. I know if I set up a VM machine and install Outlook '03 I can do this. Is there another way using Entourage as I would prefer not to VM????

Ditto. I need to import my entire MSN Mail/Hotmail account from Outlook to Entourage, including my Inbox, Sent, and Personal Folders, my calendar entries, and contacts.
There would appear to be no easy way to do this. The utility in Entourage for setting up a POP3 mail account and importing data seems to only load the Inbox.
How can a full import of all folders, etc., be accomplished?

Entourage can do all of this as well as Apple's Mail/Address Book/iCal
suite.

If you're having problems with the setup then please post back with what
you're trying to do and how you're trying to do it.

Bill - the problem is that when sending a calendar invite to an MS Outlook user they get the invite but there is no 'accept' button when sent from Entrouage/MAC - I need to be able to send invites to MS Outlook users and have them accept them (or reject/ tentative/propose new time etc) and add them to their calendars just as if I were sending from MS Outlook - It seems that my only solution currently is to run MS Outlook in a VM setup and wait for Outlook for MAC in '10

Sending invitations in Entourage is a supported feature in Entourage and
I send them to Outlook users at work fairly often. We're using Exchange,
but I wouldn't think that should make a difference.

What version of Entourage are you running? Is it fully patched? The
latest version is 12.2.1. What version of Outlook are your recipients
using? Are they all within the same company or different companies? Are
they receiving any sort of attachment instead?

In Entourage menu --> Preferences --> Mail & News Preferences -->
Compose, make sure you're using "Windows (MIME/Base64)". This shouldn't
make a difference but it might.

If you send yourself a meeting invite then does it come across as an invite?

What does come through in the message the Outlook users receive? Do they
see the same thing if they look at their account using Outlook Web
Access (OWA)?

Bill, the meeting invite for an outlook user (exchange or not) comes thru as an email with time and location but no accept button etc, I am not sure what version it was as I have not installed it yet this was a test that we ran from a MAC at the Apple store. I would assume that it was the most current and fully patched version but then again it may not have been. Outlook is 2003 and some users are exchange and some are not.
