Hi Ruben,
when you configured your PowerMac, it didn't offer to synchronise both your
Macs, but it only gave you the option to import your settings, personal
files and applications. The difference is that importing is a one-time
process, whereas synchronisation is an ongoing process. This is not really
important, but still, I thought it might interest you.
In that sense, you cannot easily synchronise both Entourage versions; what
you can do, however, is transfer your Microsoft User Data folder (located in
your Documents folder) from your PowerMac to the PowerBook's Documents
folder. If you launch Entourage on your laptop, it will then have all the
e-mails, contacts etc. from your PowerMac. When you return from your trips,
you'll have to transfer the PowerBook's MUD folder back to the PowerMac.
While this method works quite well, you'll have to realise that it only
works if you have one main and one secondary computer. In other words, if
you change some Entourage data on your PowerMac and then transfer the MUD
folder from your PowerBook, these changes will be overridden.
Hope this was helpful

Crazy thought time......

Has any tried or even considered if the MUD folder could be rigged up on an
iPod and a person could always take it with them? I'm not sure what
logistical hurdles are involved here, but I think it _could_ work.

Someone let me know if this has been tried.

Yes, MUD folders can be put on removable partitions simply by replacing the
original MUD folder with an alias pointing to the new location. The alias
must be named EXACTLY like the original MUD folder though.

However, if the removable device is not available when you try to start any
office app you are going to hit snags. Also, you will need to make sure the
database Daemon is quitted before removing the device or you will end up
with database corruption sooner or later.

Probably sooner.

By the way, the Database Daemon runs whenever _any_ Office application
(Word/Excel/PPT) is running, so we can provide identity information. So you
have to be extra-special careful.
