How to uninstall Office 2004 license key

I accidentally used the same license key on two laptops that share a LAN
connection. Of course, that means only one user at a time can open any of
the apps in the suite while both are connected to the network. I have a
second license, but when I try to uninstall and reinstall one of the two
Office Suites, it automatically plugs in the old, duplicate license. Any
hints? Where is the invisible file that stores the unwanted license key?
