how to upload e-mails and contacts after reinstall

david

I recently had to reinstall Microsoft Office 2002. With the reinstall, I lost
all of my stored e-mails and mu auto complete e-mail addresses (those that
have been entered before will pop up after the first letter is typed). I have
been told that those files are stored on the hard drive and do not get erased
with the reinstall, but I cant find out how to upload those to the newly
installed program. Anyone know how to do this?

All your Outlook Data is stored in one file. The file you need is your
Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's where all the mail, calendar, contacts
etc are stored.

Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup or transfer:
http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm
http://www.howto-outlook.com/Howto/backupandrestore.htm
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA010771141033.aspx

Your autocompletion data is in a different file with an NK2 extension and a
name that matches the name of your former profile. Find it, rename it to
match the NK2 file of your current profile and replace your current profile'
NK2 file with it. Make sure Outlook is closed when you do all of this.
