Hi Ana,
I do not know of any projectors that only have a round output, so you will
need to create a circle "mask". The mask is designed to hide the parts of
the projection that do not hit the round screen.
Because there are many possibilities, the best option would be to get access
to the projector/screen/hall and try some stuff. Create a circle on your
projected PowerPoint slide. Adjust the size and placement until the circle
defines the outside border of the round screen. Now you know where you have
to work within.
From this you can create a background/mask. Here's how...
Make the slide background black
Click Format => Background
Select the black color from the pulldown list
(or custom select it if it is not available)
Click apply
Fill the circle (being careful not to move it) with white.
You can now double check to make sure
that none of the white circle misses the round screen.
Save the slide as a PNG picture
Select File => Save As => change type to PNG
Select Just this slide
Pick an easy name and path to remember and save
Create a new presentation
Change the background
Select View => Master => Slide Master
Insert picture (recall the one you just saved)
Personally, I would not suggest making it
the background for this slide, since it could
become distorted
Move the picture behind everything on the master
Resize to fill the slide (if needed)
Click close Master
Do your stuff on the slides
Insert your text and images on the white part of the slide
Animate to suit
Movies must fall completely within the white, if you are using any
Don't worry if something overlaps the edges of the black a bit
Create a mask
On the slide, insert the black/white circle PNG image
Position it directly over the slide and resize if needed.
On the picture toolbar select the transparency tool
(Looks like a pen in a corner)
Select the white circle
You now have a slide show that will project onto a circle screen.
