How well does word perform tasks? Is it better than its contempora

Hi, im thinking of using word as part of my ICT coursework designing a stock
control system for a user, can people please rate words performance against
other word processing packages from other manufacturers? Much appreciated!

Very well I would say. However, I would suggest that a database would be a
far better choice for a stock control system.
