HTML E-mail Signatures

Hello, I just recently created an HTML e-mail signature and a few things are
happening. One, it apepars differently on the sender side than the receivers
side, yet looks best if I open the html file in Internet Explorer (so in
other words, it looks different all three ways) and two, for some reason when
replying it moves text to the right of the signature as opposed to below it.
I know there has got to be some standards for creating HTML signatures but I
cannot find them anywhere. HELP.
