Hi,
Can you create and send HTML emails with Entourage X? When I try to forward
an HTML email it always converts it to the code and looks horrible.
I¹m on a Mac. I used to create and send complex HTML emails through Outlook,
but can¹t seem to do this same with Entourage.
Thanks,
Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth.
To create HTML email in Entourage, just activate the "Use HTML" button in
the formatting palette in a new message window. However, you won't be able
to create complex HTML with it. The only method close to this can be found
in Office 2004, where you can create a reasonably complex document in Word
2004 which you can then send to Entourage as HTML.
To preserve the original HTML code of a message, the best option is to
forward a message as an attachment. (Select the message, then
Message>Forward as Attachment)

Hope this was useful

Entourage X does not have a "Forward as Attachment" feature: that's new in
2004.

But Elizabeth can do the same thing, more or less, by creating a new
message, (or forwarding just a scrap of selected text), then dragging the
HTML message from the message list into the new message. That will send it
as an attachment. If she also changes the main message to HTML by clicking
the Use HTML button ("abab") then the attached message should display
inline in full HTML to the recipient, and will look good there, probably
without the recipient even having to double-click an attachment (depending
on the recipient's email program).

Please "Reply To Newsgroup" to reply to this message. Emails will be
ignored.

PLEASE always state which version of Microsoft Office you are using -
**2004**, X or 2001. It's often impossible to answer your questions
otherwise.

I¹m frustrated by the same problem. It seems a basic thing to forward an
HTML message without losing the formatting... but I¹ve never figured out how
to do it in Entourage. A BIG problem for me.

In addition to Paul's suggestion, try using Redirect. I seem to recall
Entourage v.X having a Redirect option.

Cheers,

Chris
