HTML signature

I have created an HTML signature which really has only different coloured
fonts. Every time I create a new email I have to click on the HTML icon in
order to activate the HTML signature (otherwise it is just plain text). How
can I make this signature active every time without having to click on the
HTML icon?

Please advise.

By making your default Mail format <HTML> in Preferences/Compose.

If you also insist on replying in HTML even to people who write you in plain
text (which is often not appreciated by such people), you'd also uncheck
"Reply to messages in the format they were sent" in Reply preferences.
