You can do so via my "Make Hyperlinks X" free script from

I have been trying to do this as well. The script requires that the
message be sent immediately, which did not suit my purposes.

I don't need to have a set of text be clickable and go to a link
different than the text (e.g. "click here" goes to "www.theURL.com"). I
just want to be able to have a set of URLs that I can go to without
copying and pasting the text into my browser.

Apple Services to the rescue - in every application menu, under
Services, there is an option to "Open URL." <headsmack>

This may be obvious to most, but I overlooked it entirely.

I have been trying to do this too, but can't find a way. I looked at
apple services but open url is greyed out when I am writing a
message, so am a bit stuck, is there something I'm missing?
