Hyperlinks created in Entourage don't work in Windows Outlook Express

I've recently sent e-mails created in Entourage to Windows users with
Outlook Express as their e-mail package. These e-mails contain links
to websites.

I've tested the hyperlinks in Entourage before sending and they have
worked fine. However, the receipients tell me they cannot click on
them - instead they have to copy and paste them into their browsers.

Some users have reported the hyperlinks appearing just as text with no
blue colour or underlining. Other users report that the links look
like hyperlinks (ie blue and underlined) but they can't be clicked on.

Can anyone help me with this?

You didn't state what version of Entourage you're using. If you're using
Entourage 2001, this is to be expected. Some workarounds (including the use
of the Make Hyperlinks script) can be found here:
<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/faq/faqs.html#Anchor-65>

If you're using Entourage X, you should make sure you've applied the
Exchange Update (Office 10.1.4 update). That includes improvements to
Entourage that should make the links that Entourage sends in HTML clickable.
You can get that update, as well as 10.1.2 if you need it, from:
<http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.aspx#OfficeX>

Though plain text will usually work, if you send with HTML using Paul
Berkowitz's "Make Hyperlinks" script, the link should be clickable for any
user of an HTML-capable mail reader.

Mickey, many thanks. I was using Entourage 10.0.0, unaware of the
updates available to me. I've now installed the updates and the
problem has been resolved
