There's no way to have arbitrary text contain a link underneath it. You can
only send a raw address like so:
http://www.msn.com/

Dave-thanks, but i type an address in like that and can't get it to
have a link. Is there a setting someplace??

When you send as plain text, there's no concept of a "link"; it's just sent
as plain text. However most reasonable mail clients will recognize such a
URL and make it clickable. It does depend on the mail client your recipient
is using.

If you are using HTML mail (and you have the latest Entourage updates),
Entourage will automatically create an <A HREF> link for every http URL it
finds when sending the message.

Actually, there is a way to have "display text" containing a link, with my
"Make Hyperlinks X" script from

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

It's one of my own favorite scripts.
