Hyperlinks in powerpoint presentations

I have inserted several hyperlinks to websites and Word documents in my
powerpoint presentation, but when I click on them during the presentation,
they don't pop up. I see them after I exit the presentation on the Start
toolbar. I want them to come up during the presentation. How do I do that?
