Hyperlinks quit working in email messages

I just switched from Earthlink to Comcast Digital Cable and removed the Earthlink Toolbar stuff. Now the hyperlinks in my Outlook Express messages have quit working. I have IE 6.0 with SP1 and Outlook Express 6 running on Windows XP Pro. I'm wondering if during the Earthlink files removal, I mistakenly deleted some profile that should have remained. Or, does someone know why the hyperlinks suddenly stopped working? Can anyone help?
