I attached sound to a powerpoint slide yet have no sound

even when I right click on "play sound" I am unable to hear the voice sound
recorded
volume is up

What is the format (ie mp3, wav) of the sound and how did you insert it? Does
it play in mplayer2 (START > RUN > mplayer2.exe)
