Wav files can be embedded into the presentation, which may increase the size
of the presentation. For mp3 and other format, you can only link them. Since
you can only link them, you will need to email the mp3 also. I would
recommend you to use wav format instead, they reduce the problem of sound
breaking when moved to other computers.
Read here about how to embed wav file into the presentation:
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00155.htm
Here's what you will need to do for mp3:
Create a new folder and move the ppt and music into the folder.
Now, open ppt and reinsert the music to create a pathless link.
Then, save your presentation.
Zip the FOLDER using WinZip (
www.winzip.com), or use Windows XP Built-in Zip
support ( Read here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/learnmore/tips/edwards1.mspx )
You will need to email the whole folder. Since you can't send a folder as
attachment, you will need to zip the folder up.
Next, email the zip file.
When they receive the file, they must extract the folder out before opening
the presentation (Right clicking on the zip file will display "Extract All"
or "Extract Files..."). See if it helps.
