Hotmail doesn't work with Outlook unless it's a paid Hotmail account I
think. At least it doesn't here. Outlook has no features for HTTP mail
though you could navigate to the site through it. To be honest? I'd use
Outlook Express for your Hotmail email unless you intend to pay for your
Hotmail account.

As for going back to Outlook Express just find the link and open it. When
you install Outlook it sets itself as the default email client if you tell
it to but it doesn't erase Outlook Express from your system. The shortcuts
should still be there, if not you can re-install it pretty easily.

Galen-

thanks. i am aware that outlook won't connect to my hotmail acct, but i
didn't have that problem with outlook express. however, when i click the
shortcut for outlook express, it goes to outlook. i unchecked make outlook
the default but it still won't go to outlook express. any ideas?

and my problem with sending the email is not from my hotmail account but a
different one that outlook will use.

Wow, okay... You've set OE to be the default again? And when you open OE you
get Outlook to open on it's own? I can't say that I've ever seen this happen
but I'd try re-installing OE again.

How to reinstall or repair Internet Explorer and Outlook Express ...:

I'd also look in add/remove progrems and set the access and defaults to OE.

Fix the Outlook Express shortcut so that it points to Outlook Express again.
