I can't send emails to my distribution lists - there is not an opt

I am trying to send an email to a distribution list, but when I click the
'to' button, I don't have an option for my distribution lists that I have
definitely created and saved. When I click 'contacts' from the main outlook
page, they are there, but I can't email them. This is very important -
someone please help!

Office Helper

Go to Tools | Email Accounts. Choose Add a new directory or address book.
Click next, choose additional address book, next, choose Outlook address
book, next. Close and reopen Outlook, you should see it when you click the
To button.
