Mike I understand that it is absolete I use office 2003 but on a laptop I
have I have mellenium installed and it wont handle 2003 office.

Do you have a key? I have the original case and it it a 20 Digit key but
when installing it says you need a 11 digit key, do you know why?

I don't have a key.. Are you sure that the CD and packaging belong
together?.. I have a feeling that the 11 digit number is an older (OEM ?)
number type, and would be unobtainable from any source other than the
original packing..

The old DOS based Win9x/ME can't handle Office 2003, period.. you can either
upgrade the laptop to XP, or search around on eBay for any version of Office
prior to 2003, that is to say Office XP, 2000, 97..

Thanks Mike

The Office 97 product ID number is 20 digits. The Office 97 CD
key is 11 digits, and is printed on a small orange label on the
back of the CD jewel case. Sounds like you have a
homemade/bootleg/illegal copy of Office 97.

There are a lot of those in existence. I can't tell you how many people I
know who are using bootleg copies of various programs and have no sense of
shame about it.
