Hello

I have a ppz file from a training website that I wish to run but
cannot; I have PowerPoint. Can you help?

Hello David,

I have no access to the person who wrote the website. I cannot find
the "Pack and Go" functionality anywhere in PowerPoint; I even looked in
"customize" toolbars. I did try the "Package for CD" function but it didn't
produce a file called PNGSETUP.exe which the article said was necessary.

I then tried downloading an past version of WinZip which I could
download for free. I chose to look all files since it wasent a zip file and
it opened and unpacked it successfully.

I still want to know where the "Pack and Go" function is?

I gather from your message that you got it working. That is good. Pack
and Go went away after PowerPoint 2000. It was replaced with Package for
CD since most people now send large PowerPoint files to CDs (that
probably hold the whole file) rather than floppies (that might require
several for one PowerPoint file).

Hello David,

I know that I am being a perfectionist when I tell you this, but the
Microsoft Knowledgebase article that you refer people to isn't there any
more. You need to refer them to a different article or remove it from your
FAQ.

As a complement, I think that if it read like it does now, I would have
spent much less time on the problem and the Microsoft Knowledgebase article
is unneeded.

The best to you!

Hello Steve,

Sorry Steve, this was meant for you and I said David. I like the way
you updated the FAQ.

Hello Steve,

I think we have it now! If anyone ever has this problem again, and
gets refered to that FAQ, they'll know what to do.

I have enjoyed our little interaction here. Your coming in on this
shows that you have a real dedication to making the documentation claer and
accurate.

A big hearty Thank You,

Tom
