I have an an Excel file which crashes whenever an Outlook reminder pops up

I have an an Excel file which crashes whenever an Outlook reminder
pops up. I have Excel 2000, Outlook 2000 and Windows 2000 SP4. This
Excel file is large with buttons, comboboxes and VBA. It is used
daily, so this is a problem. I tried a blank excel sheet, and it did
not crash. Any ideas?
