I have lost all my e-mail in entourage with the update 11.1.1

I have recently updated my mac office to the version 11.1.1. But when
I open Entourage I didn't notice the Help manager and I close it. But
after all of my e-mail, my accounts, mail-list... are gone...

How can I restore my configuration if I didn't had backup anything
before updating office.

Help me I had very important files to recovers.

Marklar, open Entourage and then try this:

Under the Entourage menu, go to Switch Identities. If you have only one
identity, this should be the only one available. Just try selecting it and
see if Entourage will open it back up for you.

If that doesn't work, ensure that your Microsoft User Data folder (found in
the hierarchy below) is in the right folder. It should be:

[Computer]:Users:[Your User]ocuments:Microsoft User Data:Office 2004
Identities:Main Identity.

If it's not there, put it there. If it already is, use Get Info after
clicking on the Database icon. What size is the file? If you've been using
Entourage for a while, it should be large, i.e., perhaps a few hundred MB.
If it's tiny, then something's happened to your database file, and you
should consult someone else on this board for assistance since I don't know
how to further assist.

Try Entourage | Switch Identity and see if your old identity is listed.

All Entourage information is stored in the [username]/Documents/Microsoft
User Data/Office [version #] Identities/Main Identity folder (assuming you
haven't changed the identity name).

It is a good idea to regularly backup the entire Main Identity folder, or
the Identity folder for anyone who uses entourage on a regular basis.

I try to switch identity and I had only one identity, but that doesn't
import my files. I check inside the Microsoft User Data folder and the
filesize of the database is 125Mb. So all my files are there but the
program wont reconize anything and never ofer to import files from
Entourage 2004 (it's the current version microsoft don't want you to
import something from the current version !!! ...)

So everything is ok but I cannot recover anything.

Just a guess--in the Finder, try duplicating the identity folder, then
renaming it, then in Entourage, see if you can Switch Identity to the
renamed copy.

Switch Identity should offer you a list of any folders inside the Office
2004 Identities folder.

Why are you talking about importing files? Importing should only be
necessary if your identity was created in Entourage 2001 or X. It's
irrelevant if the identity was created in Ent 2004.

hard drive) so that it creates a duplicate. Rename this folder so that you
don't confuse it with your main folder.

2) Go to User:Libraryreferences and move com.microsoft.Entourage.plist to
the desktop. (You can optionally trash it if you don't mind re-creating your
settings).

3) Log out; then log in again.

4) Launch Entourage and check the results. If your data is there, then the
preference file got all hosed up.

5) If none of that works, then I'd suggest running Disk Utility (inside the
Utilities folder in Applications) and verifying/repairing disk permissions.
This often resolves a myriad problems with the OS X file system.

Get back to me with what's happened.

Oh, and notwithstanding the missing data, can you USE Entourage correctly,
i.e., it's not acting up?

Ok I find the problem...

when I updated Office 2004 I didn't check the language of my original version.

so the microsoft directory in my document folder move to an other location.
