I'm using Windows XP with Power Point 2003. I can see the movie as a still
frame when I download it to the power point presentation but when I try to
play it, it becomes a black screen while I can hear the audio.

Try moving both the presentation and media file to a folder with a short
path. (Example: C:\test) and then give it a try.

I have tried to save may power point presentation and the film in a map with
a short path (C:/test) but I still have the problem mentioned above (picture
fading to black when trying to start the movie). Is there other possible
explanations/solutions to this porblem? It is a AVI movie, I use Office 2003
and Windows XP.
