i lost my contacts

I had my contacts installed in the Outlook and everything was working
fine.Then i installed an Exchange account and tried to use the shared
contacts service.By that time i "lost" my previous contacts.Is there some
hint-clue-help so that i can retrieve
them.

What version of Outlook and what do you mean by shared contacts service.

It is Microsoft Outlook 2003 and it all happened when i installed an Exchange
accout and tried to share my contacts .

If you select the Folder List Icon on the Wunderbar do you see your Exchange
Mailbox and a Personal Folder File, is your Contacts in the Personal Folder
File

I do see the navigation panel and i see "Contacts" and "Mailbox contacts"
but my contacts are not in any of these.....Any other suggestions?
