I/O device error message

Sue D.

I have just tried to install brand new copy of 2003 Student Office copy in
brand new Mitsubishi laptop. I just recently installed Norton utilities, so
the hardware is no problem. This message (I/O error) comes up every time I
try to install this. The disk is clean, etc. Can you please advise how to
deal with this? Returning it is difficult, I am in an area where driving is
hard for me. I read the caveats regarding the dealing with the I/O error and
I'm not mucking that up! Thanks!! Sue
