I want Outlook today when I start up but ...

The little bar at the right called "Customise Outlook Today ..." won't
work. The button looks like it depresses, but nothing happens and there are
no dialogues. I have run detect and repair. Is there some other way of
achieving the same result?

OL2000: You Cannot Customize Outlook Today After You Install Critical Update

You can edit the registry to make changes to Outlook Today.
