I Want to help reduce SPAM!!!

BigRon

I have a big problem with spam as I get email from what
appears to be Microsoft or Microsoft Product suppliers.
The email seemed legitimate. At the bottom of the email
was an unsubscribe link which I chose to do and now I am
receiving that very same email only it looks like I sent
it to my self. Is there any way that I can help in
stopping this sort of thing from happening? Is there any
recourse? In my email address just take out the z's and
you will have the right email address.

Did you have an antivirus program installed, running, and up-to-date when
you clicked the link? If not, go to www.symantec.com and use their online
virus scanner.

Thanks, and yes I have Symantec virus protection
installed and fully functional. No viruses. Just the
irratating SPAM that resulted from trying to unsubscribe
to an unsolicted email.

not too much you can do about that - and you shouldn't bother unsubbing to
spam from companies you don't trust.

I have been advised by Microsoft trainers at TechNet NOT TO UBSUBSCRIBE. By
unsubscribing, you are confirming to them that they have located a "valid"
email account and that is what they thrive on.
