I would like to manipulate .ppt template background

T

Tempest32

I use online templates for PowerPoint but find sometimes I would prefer a
different color scheme or perhaps less graphics, but cannot make any changes
to the background. For example the Leonardo De Vinci template is great but I
would prefer to remove the Mona Lisa graphic. If I had the ability to make
these small changes it would make the templates more useful in day to day
activities.

Can you tell us where you got the "Leonardo De Vinci" template? It's not a
standard template that comes with PowerPoint.

This template was downloaded from the Microsoft Office online media center.
There are quite a few and interesting templates available out there so you
will need to search through them.

Why is it so hard to give me a link when I'm trying to help you?

For anyone else who might be following this thread, here is a link to the
template in question.
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/TC010902931033.aspx Yes, I was
able to dig it up. I happened to know which page "Office Online" refers to,
otherwise I wouldn't have even tried.

I was hoping you might have missed an easy way to swap out the picture, but
no, this image was applied via Format|Background|Fill Effects|Picture, so
there's no easy ungrouping or anything.

Actually, there's no way you could know I was trying to help you with this
if you weren't a regular reader here. So please ignore my little rant below.

Actually, this is my very first time using this forum and to be honest my
feelings were somewhat hurt because I wouldn't have know how to get the link
in the first place. However, all is forgiven and I appreciate your quick
response. Thanks

I was frustrated because of a different thread, but that's really no excuse.
Heck, you were posting a suggestion, not a request for assistance.

I do apologize again.
